Also recognized at the ceremony taking place at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel will be <strong>Kazu Hiro<\/strong>, the Oscar\u2013winning prosthetic makeup designer, who will be presented with the TIFF Variety Artisan Award. <strong>Nina Hoss<\/strong>, acclaimed German actor, will be honored with a TIFF Tribute Performer Award and filmmakers<strong> Jafar Panahi<\/strong> and<strong> Zacharias Kunuk<\/strong> will be given TIFF Special Tribute Awards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">These seven honorees will join the previously announced recipients: <strong>Guillermo del Toro<\/strong>, <strong>Jodie Foster<\/strong>, <strong>Hikari<\/strong>, and <strong>Lee Byung\u2011hun<\/strong>. <strong>Brendan Fraser<\/strong> will serve as the ceremony\u2019s honorary chair.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThe 2025 Tribute Award honorees represent the very best of what cinema can achieve,\u201d said <strong>Cameron Bailey<\/strong>, CEO of TIFF. &#8220;Hailing from different corners of the world, Idris Elba, Kazu Hiro, Nina Hoss, Zacharias Kunuk, Catherine O\u2019Hara, Jafar Panahi and Channing Tatum have created work that moves us, challenges us, and expands our understanding of the human experience.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">At this year\u2019s festival, Elba returns with his directorial debut of his short film Dust to Dreams, starring <strong>Seal<\/strong>. Hiro will attend for his work transforming <strong>Dwayne Johnson<\/strong> in The Smashing Machine. Hoss will be there for the World Premiere of Hedda and Tatum for his performance in <strong>Derek Cianfrance<\/strong>\u2019s Roofman.
