Disney has released new information about the upcoming\u00a0Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets<\/em>, set to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2026<\/strong>. The reimagining will bring the Electric Mayhem to the spotlight, delivering a mix of high-speed thrills and classic Muppets humor.<\/p>\n

The Electric Mayhem Takes Center Stage<\/h2>\n

The storyline puts the Electric Mayhem in the middle of their biggest Hollywood concert yet. Everyone’s ready for the show – except the band. Instead of being onstage, the group is still across town at G-Force Records, where guests are invited on a behind-the-scenes VIP tour.<\/p>\n

Now under Muppet management, the famous recording studio has been transformed into a chaotic, colorful space. Scooter, with help from his uncle J.P. Grosse, has secured the building, and the Muppets have put their own stamp on the studio’s halls. Fans will also encounter penguin audio engineers and plenty of Muppet-style mayhem along the way.<\/p>\n

Updates to the Exterior<\/h2>\n

The ride’s entrance courtyard will also see changes. The giant red guitar will receive a psychedelic makeover inspired by classic Muppet car paint jobs. A piano motif at the base of the guitar will now feature a golden key–an homage to Dr. Teeth, the Electric Mayhem’s eccentric band leader.<\/p>\n

Inside the Studio<\/h2>\n

Guests holding their VIP passes will enter the studio just as the band is rehearsing. True to form, the Electric Mayhem would rather keep jamming than head to their concert. Scooter tries to get them moving, while the penguins work the soundboard.<\/p>\n

The Ride Experience<\/h2>\n

Thanks to some technical wizardry from Muppet Labs, guests board a supercharged limousine to race across Hollywood in time for the concert. The ride will retain its twisting, high-speed track but with updated sets, visuals, and a Muppet-influenced take on Los Angeles landmarks.<\/p>\n

Throughout the trip, riders will hear a soundtrack of rock classics performed by the Electric Mayhem, keeping the energy high until they reach the concert finale.<\/p>\n

Opening Timeline<\/h2>\n

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will remain open through 2025 in its current Aerosmith form. The Muppets reimagining will begin in 2026, bringing a major creative update to one of Disney’s most popular thrill rides.<\/p>\n
