Showrunner R. Scott Gemmill hinted that Season 2 will take place over Fourth of July weekend<\/a> during a day-long shift, which will likely see all kinds of ER patients.<\/p>\n \u201cOur job is not to outdo ourselves. A main thread in Season 1 was Robby\u2019s inability to cope with his mentor\u2019s death during the pandemic.<\/p>\n \u201cPart of \u2026 season 2 is seeing Dr. Robby acknowledge that he needs help, that he hasn\u2019t gotten the help he needs, and to encourage his coworkers to seek help to take away that stigma,\u201d said Gemmill at an HRTS discussion in July. \u201cOne of the movements afoot is to make a mental health check sort of mandatory for healthcare workers. And that way, if everyone has to do it, then that takes away the stigma.
