Ed Sheeran<\/a> and Barry Keoghan<\/a> are big fans of these Y2K-era rap albums.<\/p>\n In their episode of Complex\u2019s GOAT Talk, Sheeran and Keoghan dived deep into their picks for greatest rap albums and rappers.<\/p>\n Near the 15-minute mark, Keoghan quickly named 50 Cent<\/a>\u2019s Get Rich or Die Tryin\u2019 as his pick. Sheeran laughed and recalled recently listening to the blockbuster 2003 album with his dad in Italy.<\/p>\n \u201cI was topless with a beer in my hand explaining to him how great \u2018If I Can\u2019t\u2019 was because it’s not a full eight bar chorus. Obsess.<\/a><\/p>\n Sheeran went on to say that albums made under the Shady Records<\/a> and Aftermath Entertainment imprints, such as The Game<\/a>\u2019s The Documentary, Eminem<\/a>\u2019s the Marshall Mathers LP, and Dr. Dre<\/a>\u2019s 2001 as albums he can play in any scenario.<\/p>\n Keoghan added that records like those are perfect for when there\u2019s pressure to play something everyone can enjoy.<\/p>\n When drawing the GOAT rapper card, both Sheeran and Keoghan lean toward the UK scene.<\/p>\n \u201cI would say my favorite rappers are British,\u201d Sheeran says, naming Wretch 32<\/a>, Devlin<\/a>, Skepta<\/a>, and JME<\/a> as his picks.<\/p>\n Keoghan agreed, naming Stormzy and Dave as his favorites.<\/p>\n The two laughed about Skepta once claiming that UK rappers were superior to American rappers. However, Sheeran suggested that it all comes down to cultural context.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you go to France and you say, \u2018who\u2019s the best rapper?\u2019 They\u2019re gonna say a French rapper. You go to Germany, do the same thing. And I understand British rappers more.
