Erik Menendez<\/strong>\u2019s daughter, Talia Menendez<\/strong>, is calling on celebrity support after her father was denied parole<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The California Board of Parole Hearings denied Erik\u2019s release<\/a> during a hearing on Thursday, August 21, citing various prison infractions during his 35 years of incarceration.<\/p>\n

Talia, Erik\u2019s adopted daughter through his 1999 marriage to wife Tammi<\/strong><\/a>, reacted to the news in several Instagram Stories. In one, she wrote<\/a>, \u201cHow is my dad a threat to society! A 3-year denial??? Hell is about to break loose!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

In a subsequent Instagram Story<\/a>, Talia called out celebrities who she said previously advocated for the release of Erik, 54, and his brother Lyle, 57, but haven\u2019t yet weighed in on Erik\u2019s denial.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tErik and Lyle Men\u00e9ndez\u2018s murder case was thrust back into the spotlight with Ryan Murphy\u2018s Monsters \u2014 and now they could walk free after years behind bars. The Men\u00e9ndez brothers\u2019 parents, Jos\u00e9 and Kitty Men\u00e9ndez, were found dead at their Beverly Hills home in 1989. After Lyle called the police, they discovered Jos\u00e9 was shot [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWhere are the celebrities that were \u2018advocating\u2019 for them???? It\u2019s been WAY TOO QUIET,\u201d Talia wrote.<\/p>\n

According to Talia, actor Cooper Koch<\/strong>, who played Erik in the Netflix true-crime drama Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story<\/em><\/a>, has been among the few celebrities to remain in touch with the family amid Erik and Lyle\u2019s parole hearings. (Lyle will have his on Friday, August 22.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only one that I can say has been checking in on my family is Cooper and we absolutely adore him,\u201d she wrote. \u201cTo the ones that went to the prison without any background checks to film their show but are staying quiet now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou despise [sic] me beyond measure Just say your views are down and keep it PUSHING,\u201d Talia added.<\/p>\n

Koch, 29, has been vocal about his support for the Menendez brothers, who were sentenced to life in prison, without the possibility of parole, in 1996 for the 1989 murders of their parents, Jos\u00e9<\/strong> and Kitty Menendez<\/strong>. At trial, the pair claimed self-defense and alleged they were abused by their father as children.<\/p>\n

Back in September 2024, Koch and Kim Kardashian<\/strong>, 44, visited the Menendez brothers<\/a> in prison and Koch has since formed a close bond with Erik.<\/p>\n

After the brothers were resentenced to 50 years to life in prison in May, thus making them eligible for parole, Koch said, \u201cI\u2019m so grateful that that happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd so is Erik, I spoke to him yesterday and he is so excited,\u201d he added to Variety<\/em><\/a> at the time.<\/p>\n
