(NewsNation<\/a>) \u2014 HGTV<\/a> announced Thursday more than 100 episodes from various shows will air in 2026.<\/p>\n This announcement follows backlash on the\u00a0network\u2019s\u00a0programming choices, especially following the recent cancellation of seven\u00a0series<\/a>.<\/p>\n The network revealed it has renewed shows, including \u201cThe Flip Off,\u201d after uncertainty that the show, which stars Christina Haack<\/a> and ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, would return, according to People<\/a> magazine.<\/p>\n Sydney Sweeney blames bathwater soap drama on hypocritical \u2018girls\u2019 <\/a><\/p>\n In June, the network canceled \u201cBattle on the Beach<\/a>\u201d starring Alison Victoria but said it plans to keep Victoria in the HGTV family for a new show called \u201cSin City Rehab.\u201d<\/p>\n Additionally, fan favorite shows like \u201cLove It or List It\u201d and \u201cRenovation Aloha\u201d will also air new episodes. <\/p>\n This summer, as part of cost-cutting measures, HGTV canceled several of its series, including \u201cChristina on the Coast,\u201d starring Christina Hall;\u00a0\u201cThe Flipping El Moussas\u201d; \u201cFarmhouse\u00a0Fixer\u201d; \u201cMarried to Real Estate;\u201d\u00a0\u201cBargain Block;\u201d and\u00a0\u201cIzzy Does It,\u201d Deadline reported.<\/a><\/p>\n The rising costs of home renovation materials, which are expected to become more expensive due to tariffs, as well as\u00a0falling ratings<\/a>, have<\/span> led the network to reevaluate its brand.<\/p>\n Tarek El Moussa avoids Las Vegas battery case with counseling program <\/a><\/p>\n \u201cHome reno shows are expensive because all of the materials are jacked up and on delay, the price of wood and marble and everything else is going up so these shows don\u2019t make as much sense anymore,\u201d a source told Deadline.<\/p>\n Heather El Moussa, from left, Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack pose for a portrait to promote \u201cThe Flip Off\u201d on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, in Los Angeles. (Photo by Rebecca Cabage\/Invision\/AP)<\/p>\n According to Deadline, HGTV home renovation shows can cost upward of $500,000.<\/p>\n When HGTV canceled \u201cBargain Block\u201d in June, the show\u2019s star, Keith Bynum, took to Instagram<\/a> and blasted the network, writing, \u201cTv is full of a lot of great people but it\u2019s also full of some of the worst people I\u2019ve ever encountered.\u201d <\/p>\n He added, \u201cThe last six months have been a pretty wild journey,\u201d Bynum said.\u00a0\u201cOur entire business and lives have been put through the ringer at the hands of a giant corporation, yet we persist lol.
