BADLANDS<\/em>, the 2015 breakthrough album from Halsey<\/strong><\/a>, celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, and the artist is continuing to honor that milestone with a new music video for a fan-favorite track. \u201cGasoline,\u201d which initially came from the deluxe edition of BADLANDS<\/em>, builds upon the album\u2019s universe that Halsey established a decade ago. Eagle-eyed fans might even be able to spot an Easter egg or two based on the iconic BADLANDS<\/em> imagery.<\/p>\n

\u201cGasoline\u201d has had an unusual path to become a smash. The track wasn\u2019t released on the original version of BADLANDS<\/em>, nor was it released as a single when it was included on the deluxe version. Halsey actually wrote and produced the song on the day the album was due, surprising her A&R team. Nevertheless, the track has become BADLANDS<\/em>\u2019 most-streamed song on Spotify, notching nearly half a billion streams since it was released in 2015.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Halsey announced three new vinyl editions of her debut album to mark the major anniversary. On August 29, the musician will release BADLANDS DECADE EDITION<\/em>, BADLANDS \u2013 Live From Webster Hall<\/em>, and BADLANDS: ANTHOLOGY<\/em>. The ANTHOLOGY<\/em> will include a whole slew of new ways to experience the beloved album, with orchestral versions, demos, and remixes of the well-loved tracks. Live From Webster Hall<\/em>, Halsey\u2019s first live album that was recorded in 2019 in New York, comes to vinyl for the first time in celebration of the anniversary.<\/p>\n

Announcing the news at the beginning of August, Halsey teased having some \u201cunbelievable things planned for this month.\u201d Reflecting on the project as \u201cthe album that changed my life,\u201d Halsey said in her announcement, \u201cI can\u2019t believe it\u2019s been 10 years. So much has happened in the last decade, but BADLANDS<\/em> remains the most exciting musical journey of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n
