This Sunday, the finale of MGM+\u2019s\u00a0The Institute<\/a><\/em>, an adaptation of Stephen King<\/a>\u2018s science-fiction horror novel of the same name, will arrive.<\/p>\n Ahead of the final episode, though, the streamer has announced that the story will not end there.<\/p>\n Find out what we know so far about\u00a0The Institute<\/em> Season 2 right here.<\/p>\n Yes. King himself shared the news on his X feed with a video announcement, captioned, \u201cSometimes you win just by showing them you\u2019re still willing to fight. The Institute<\/em> will return for Season 2.\u201d<\/p>\n Per a press release from MGM+, Season 2, like the first season, will consist of eight episodes. The streamer also revealed\u00a0The Institute<\/em> had the best-ever premiere on its platform.<\/p>\n The events of the first season have closely followed the events of the book, so chances are, the finale will align with the ending, leaving several characters\u2019 fates unknown.<\/p>\n \u201cSet free but hunted, new dangers await the escapees from the Institute, and I can<\/span>\u2018t wait,\u201d King teased of what might be next.<\/p>\n Executive producers Jack Bender<\/a> and Benjamin Cavell added of the renewal news, \u201cWe\u2019ve been so gratified by the response to our first season, which is a testament to the dedication of our fantastic cast and crew.
