Days before the 50th anniversary of the release of \u201cBorn to Run<\/a>,\u201d Bruce Springsteen blessed his fans by finally officially releasing a coveted outtake from the beloved album.<\/p>\n The Boss released \u201cLonely Night in the Park\u201d on streaming services Friday, a song that nearly made the cut for the seminal 1975 album.<\/p>\n \u201cTo commemorate the upcoming 50th anniversary of \u2018Born to Run,\u2019 a rare 1975 outtake from the album\u2019s legendary sessions is now available\u00a0in full studio quality\u00a0as it has never been heard before,\u201d Springsteen posted on Instagram<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cAfter five decades in the vault,\u00a0\u201cLonely Night in the Park\u201d\u00a0has been digitally released for\u00a0the first time ever\u00a0today.”<\/p>\n It has been a big year for deep-cut releases from Springsteen. The song was recorded in May of 1975 at The Record Plant in New York. It was reportedly in the running to make the \u201cBorn To Run\u201d album until Mike Appel fought for the inclusion of \u201cMeeting Across The River\u201d and got his way.<\/p>\n \u201cLonely Night in the Park\u201d was ranked No. 1 on NJ.com\u2019s list of best unreleased Springsteen songs<\/a>.
