The post Hotline TNT Pull Music from Spotify, Say Company Doesn\u2019t \u201cAlign\u201d with Their Values<\/a> appeared first on Consequence<\/a>.<\/p>\n Hotline TNT<\/a> have become the latest band to pull their music from Spotify.<\/p>\n The CoSigned<\/a> act\u2019s decision comes after several bands, including Xiu Xiu<\/a>,\u00a0King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard<\/a>, and\u00a0Deerhoof<\/a>, removed their catalogs from the streaming platform in response to reports that CEO Daniel Ek is a chairman of Helsing, a German company specializing in AI military software.<\/p>\n Get Hotline TNT Tickets Here<\/a><\/p>\n Frontman Will Anderson\u2019s explanation\u00a0for Hotline TNT\u2019s move didn\u2019t explicitly mention Ek\u2019s ties to Helsing. \u201cWe are leaving the Spotify streaming service,\u201d he said in a statement. \u201cThe company that bills itself as the steward of all recorded music has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that it does not align with the band\u2019s values in any way. A cooler world is possible.\u201d<\/p>\n The group will also host a 24-hour livestream on Twitch<\/a>, YouTube<\/a>, and Instagram<\/a> on Friday, September 5th at noon ET.
