Lil Nas X<\/strong><\/a> reflected on a \u201cpretty difficult\u201d past few years in a video shared via social media in February, six months before his arrest<\/a> for allegedly assaulting a police officer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese last few years were pretty difficult for me,\u201d he said in the video<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m just now arriving to this place of feeling confidence in myself and what I\u2019m doing, and I\u2019m trying to make sure I put intention towards my music and my vision and the creativity of it all.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMost of all, I really want to make sure I have fun this time around,\u201d Lil Nas X, 26, continued, saying he didn\u2019t have as much fun during the rollout of his 2021 album, Montero<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was more focused on making sure the songs did well than making sure I was having fun doing s***,\u201d he explained. \u201cAnd I\u2019m not saying I didn\u2019t have any fun. I had some f***ing fun. But I want this time around to be even more fun and I want to be even more full of joy and I want to be even more full of love.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe artwork for Lil Nas X\u2019s upcoming single proves he hasn\u2019t completely repented from his trolling ways. The rapper, 24, unveiled the artwork for his comeback song \u201cJ Christ\u201d on Monday, January 8, taking his newfound \u201cChristian era\u201d in a somewhat blasphemous direction. The art, shared via social media, depicts Lil Nas X crucified upon [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The rapper was hospitalized in the early morning hours of Thursday, August 21, after witnesses claimed to have seen him roaming the streets of Los Angeles in his underwear. Upon his release from the hospital, he was arrested and booked on a misdemeanor charge.<\/p>\n

Footage of the incident, which has since gone viral, shows the \u201cOld Town Road\u201d artist placing a traffic cone over his head while muttering about going to a party.<\/p>\n

According to police, Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, tried to \u201cbatter an officer\u201d once police arrived at the scene, \u201cso he was booked for battery of a [peace officer].\u201d<\/p>\n
