Although the series was reported to have been renewed in April, Variety notes that the series has actually been \u201con hiatus,\u201d and had no concrete plans to film a second season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">While no official reason for the cancellation was given, Variety\u2019s report mentions that an individual with knowledge of the situation said that President of Skydance Television Matt Thunell has decided to put the focus more on Dexter: Resurrection and Michael C. Hall\u2019s character following the Skydance-Paramount merger.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">As a result, the series will conclude with just one season, which debuted in December 2024 and aired its finale in February.
