The free event is noon-9 p.m. on Kennedy-King College\u2019s baseball field, 6401 S. Halsted St.<\/p>\n<p>Louisiana rapper Boosie, \u201990s hitmakers Next and Grammy-winning gospel artist Le\u2019Andria Johnson will headline the festival. Boosie, a Southern rapper with a two-decade career, will bring early club hits like \u201cWipe Me Down\u201d and \u201cSet It Off\u201d to the stage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s going down,\u201d the rapper said in a video shared on the festival\u2019s Instagram page. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"scaip scaip-1    \">\n\t\t<\/aside>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram\"\/>\n<p>The Englewood Music Festival will continue its tradition of spotlighting diverse genres and local talent.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s celebration will include musical numbers from <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/idjmyles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">DJ Myles<\/a>, Arkansas singer <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/spudhoward\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Spud Howard<\/a>, soulsters Mac &amp; Starnes, R&amp;B singer <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/realnapalm\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Nathan Palmer<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/accounts\/login\/?next=%2Fdjcaleeb%2F&amp;source=omni_redirect&amp;hl=en\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">DJ Caleeb<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Ald. Stephanie Coleman (16th)\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blockclubchicago.org\/2021\/08\/19\/englewood-leaders-are-saying-farewell-to-summer-with-the-neighborhoods-first-ever-annual-music-festival\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">founded the Englewood Music Festival in her ward in 2021<\/a>\u00a0to \u201ccelebrate the excellence of Englewood\u201d and bring the \u201cgood food, good vibes and great energy\u201d she\u2019d experienced at other neighborhood festivals to Englewood. <\/p>\n<p>Coleman selects \u201cnostalgic music\u201d to attract a crowd, she previously said. Prior performers for the festival include <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blockclubchicago.org\/2024\/09\/09\/englewood-music-festivals-bring-waka-flocka-flame-epic-poetry-opera-and-more-to-south-side\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Waka Fl<\/a><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blockclubchicago.org\/2024\/09\/09\/englewood-music-festivals-bring-waka-flocka-flame-epic-poetry-opera-and-more-to-south-side\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">ocka Flame<\/a>,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blockclubchicago.org\/2023\/08\/08\/englewood-music-festival-returns-in-september\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Juvenile<\/a>, Kindred the Family Soul, Kelly Price and Twista. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Eric Williams, founder of the Silver Room Block Party, and Ald. The Silver Room Block Party, founded by Eric Williams in 2002 as a small get-together, grew into a community phenomenon before ending in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The Englewood Music Festival with Auburn Gresham\u2019s\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blockclubchicago.org\/2025\/07\/10\/chaka-khan-to-headline-auburn-greshams-79th-street-renaissance-festival\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">79th Street Renaissance Festival<\/a>,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/southshoresummerfestival.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">South Shore Summer Fest<\/a> and the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blockclubchicago.org\/2023\/09\/13\/englewood-jazz-festival-returns-to-hamilton-park-this-week\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Englewood Jazz Festival<\/a> are the few free cultural events that bring day-long musical festivities to South Side blocks.<\/p>\n<p>Neighbors can reserve a free ticket to the Englewood Music Festival <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/events.eventnoire.com\/e\/emf2025\/tickets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">here<\/a>.
