Country music star Jimmie Allen lost a lawsuit this week that was filed by a woman who claimed he sexually assaulted her in a Las Vegas hotel in 2022. <\/p>\n

However,People Magazine reported <\/b><\/a>that Judge Aleta A. Trauger ruled in a Tennessee court on Monday in favor of a Jane Doe in her claims of assault, battery, invasion of privacy and infliction of emotional distress against Allen because \u201che ignored court-imposed deadlines and orders.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe defendants have failed to comply with case management discovery deadlines and even failed to comply with specific Orders of this court,\u201d the judge wrote, according to People. \u201cFor these reasons, the plaintiff\u2019s Motion for Sanctions against Defendants Jimmie Allen and Aadyn\u2019s Dad Touring, Inc. is GRANTED.\u201d<\/p>\n Allen was ordered to pay $6,000 to the woman\u2019s lawyers for cancelling a mediation session, and the 40-year-old singer also reportedly failed to obtain new representation after an attorney left.<\/p>\n People said that women\u2019s lawyer, Elizabeth Fegan, said they were \u201cpleased with the Court\u2019s decision to grant judgement for the Plaintiff in light of Jimmie Allen\u2019s refusal to participate in the litigation process. WE look forward to proving up Plaintiff\u2019s damages caused by Allen\u2019s predatory acts.\u201d<\/p>\n People said that Allen\u2019s legal rep said the ruling was \u201cpurely procedural,\u201d and blamed his previous counsel for \u201crepeated failures to comply with discovery obligations and court orders.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis ruling was not based on the merits of the allegations,\u201d Ted Anastasiou, who is now representing Allen, told People. \u201cMr. Allen has consistently and unequivocally maintained his innocence, and he firmly denies these accusations.\u201d<\/p>\n Anastasiou said that earlier accusations were \u201cbrought on the same baseless grounds,\u201d and that \u201cthis case is equally meritless.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe intend to take immediate action to set aside this judgment and to ensure that the matter is decided on facts and evidence, rather than procedural missteps,\u201d he added. \u201cMr. Allen looks forward to the opportunity to clear his name in court.\u201d<\/p>\n People reported the woman first filed the lawsuit in 2023, claiming that Allens secretly filmed an encounter with her and continued to \u201cengage in sexual conduct with her after she revoked her previously given consent.\u201d<\/p>\n Allen filed a countersuit in July 2023 and his lawyers claimed he received permission to film their encounter. She filed a motion to dismiss the countersuit in August of that year, per People, which was allowed. <\/p>\n Allen was also sued by his former manager for assault and sexual abuse, and they reached an agreement and her claims were dropped.
