Former first lady Michelle Obama is once again opening up about her family dynamic. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The public has long been invested in the relationship between Michelle Obama and former President Barack Obama \u2014 from persistent (and debunked) rumors<\/a> of marital trouble to their frequent displays of affection<\/a>, the Obamas have remained a subject of fascination. The couple tied the knot in 1992 and went on to raise two daughters: Malia, 27, and Sasha, 24. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

And while the family appears to be tight-knit, Michelle Obama recently shared that raising their youngest wasn\u2019t always easy for her husband. On a Wednesday episode of her podcast, \u201c<\/span>IMO With Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson<\/span><\/a>\u201d alongside her brother, she opened up about her daughters\u2019 personalities. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSasha is like a cat. She\u2019s like, \u2019Don\u2019t touch me, don\u2019t pet me. I\u2019m not pleasing you. You come to me, you know? And Barack\u2019s like, well, she\u2019s difficult. I was like, no, the first one was a pleaser,\u201d she revealed.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Earlier in the episode, Michelle Obama<\/a> reflected on the distinct ways her daughters interact with the world. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI\u2019d say this to Barack, when it comes to, you know, [our] oldest, Malia, she is going to figure out who you are, what do you like and let\u2019s discuss it,\u201d she said. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While Barack Obama may have found Sasha\u2019s temperament more challenging, Michelle Obama emphasized that parenting requires flexibility \u2014 and the ability to adapt.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She noted that parents have to be \u201cchameleons\u201d and adjust to each child\u2019s unique personality.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
