The Tigers (78-53) will go for a series over the Kansas City Royals (66-64) and their sixth straight win at 1:40 p.m. at Comerica Park.<\/p>\n

On the mound, Tigers right-hander Jack Flaherty (7-12, 4.51 ERA) will face Royals righty Seth Lugo (8-6, 3.73).<\/p>\n
Flaherty threw seven shutout innings in his last start on Aug. 18 against the Houston Astros<\/a>. He allowed just three hits <\/i>and one walk with nine strikeouts, retiring the final 11 batters he faced.
