Sydney Sweeney<\/strong><\/a> might be at the center of some major backlash due to her recent American Eagle ad, but that hasn\u2019t kept the Anyone But You<\/em> star from landing role after role.<\/p>\n

During an interview with Wall Street Journal<\/em><\/a>, published on Wednesday, August 20, Sweeney clarified comments she made in a previous 2022 interview that alluded to the actress not being able to afford taking off work.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I was talking about is more that I didn\u2019t have time<\/a> to take six months off. I was so busy, and still, same. But I do that because I don\u2019t want to take six months off,\u201d Sweeney, 27, told the outlet. \u201cI get anxiety thinking about just taking a few days off.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut if I wanted to lock everything in, I could probably be booked for the next three or four years,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no denying that the Euphoria<\/em> actress has been popping up everywhere lately. She starred in Echo Valley<\/em>, a thriller released earlier this summer, and she has several films set to premiere over the next few months, including a biopic about boxer Christy Martin<\/strong> and the adaptation of Freida McFadden\u2019s<\/strong> best-selling novel The Housemaid<\/em>.<\/p>\n

However, Sweeney confessed that she doesn\u2019t really have anyone other than herself who inspires her right now.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always said that I look up to the older version of myself,\u201d she explained. \u201cSo I\u2019m hoping that whatever I\u2019m doing now, 40-year-old Sydney will be proud of.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this summer, fans alleged the Americana<\/em> star\u2019s recent campaign with American Eagle promoted themes of eugenics and white supremacy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
