Norman Reedus<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 son Mingus has been charged after his recent arrest<\/a> for alleged assault.<\/p>\n

Mingus, 25, was reportedly charged with reckless physical injury, aggravated harassment and second-degree harassment, according to court records viewed by TMZ<\/a>. Mingus pleaded not guilty to all counts.<\/p>\n

Mingus\u2019 attorney Priya Chaudhry<\/strong> told TMZ on Sunday, August 24, that her client was charged with misdemeanors that \u201cspeak volumes, and much louder than the unsupported prosecutor\u2019s in-court comments.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEqually important, the judge released Mingus on his own recognizance, with neither bail nor supervision,\u201d Chaudhry added in her statement. \u201cThat significant judicial decision amplifies the volume. Mingus is presumed innocent and has pleaded not guilty. As the facts emerge, his innocence will become clear.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNorman Reedus and Helena Christensen\u2019s son, Mingus Reedus, has been arrested and charged with assault for a second time. Mingus, 25, was taken into custody around 8:40 a.m. local time on Saturday, August 23, the New York Police Department (NYPD) confirmed to Us Weekly. He was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and assault. Authorities [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Us <\/i>confirmed on Saturday, August 24, that Mingus \u2014 Reedus\u2019 son with ex Helena Christensen<\/strong> \u2014 had been taken into police custody<\/a> in New York City after an alleged assault. He is expected to appear in court Tuesday, August 26.<\/p>\n

Mingus was previously arrested in September 2021 for allegedly assaulting a woman, who claimed that the model punched her in the face. He denied the allegations, arguing in a statement that he only \u201cthrew his arm out\u201d in self-defense after the individual appeared to \u201cswarm\u201d him.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was instinct,\u201d Mingus told the New York Daily News<\/em> at the time. \u201cI was reacting to them swarming me and was afraid for the safety of my group. We didn\u2019t think anything of it, but these five girls followed us for two blocks, throwing food at us and yelling. We told them to leave us alone, but they kept following, threatening to hurt my girlfriend and her friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mingus pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was sentenced to attend five counseling sessions.<\/p>\n

Neither Reedus, 56, nor Christensen, 56, has publicly addressed Mingus\u2019 Saturday arrest. The now-exes welcomed their son in 1999, four years before they broke up, and always maintained an amicable coparenting dynamic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 2021, Christensen gushed about her bond with Mingus.<\/p>\n
