Carrie Bradshaw\u2019s chapter has come to a close on And Just Like That<\/em><\/a> \u2014 but maybe not forever.<\/p>\n While the Sex and the City<\/em> <\/a>spinoff bid farewell earlier this month<\/a> after a three-season run, executive producer Elisa Zuritsky<\/strong> quipped during a Sunday, August 24, interview with TVLine<\/em><\/a> that Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker<\/strong>) is \u201calive\u201d \u2014 meaning a return \u201ccould happen.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSarah Jessica Parker is Michael Patrick King<\/strong>\u2019s muse,\u201d Zuritsky told the outlet, referring to the showrunner, \u201cand the reason he says \u2018I\u2019ve said goodbye before and I\u2019ve come back\u2019 is because it\u2019s true.\u201d<\/p>\n The decision to return, ultimately, is in King\u2019s hands, Zuritsky added, \u201cWe serve at his pleasure.\u201d<\/p>\n Sarah Jessica Parker Breaks Her Silence on \u2018And Just Like That\u2019 Ending After Season 3<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI am the eternal optimist. I mean, we\u2019ve all seen lots of things happen,\u201d Zuritsky said, sharing that she has notes and ideas for story lines with Carrie, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York \u201con my phone, on my computer.\u201d<\/p>\n When Sex and the City<\/em> came to an end in 2004, fellow EP Julie Rottenberg<\/strong> admitted that the writers would continue to brainstorm ideas for the characters.<\/p>\n \u201cWe would have some embarrassing experience, and we would say, \u2018That would have been a perfect Miranda story.\u2019 \u2018My husband just went and did this crazy thing. That would have been a great Harry story,\u2019\u201d Rottenberg said. \u201cWe keep a little list.\u201d<\/p>\n News broke earlier this month that And Just Like That<\/em> was officially ending<\/a>, with Parker explaining that the decision was \u201cbecause that\u2019s where the story ended.\u201d<\/p>\n
