Britney Spears<\/strong> is getting candid about the real reason she tied the knot with ex-husband Sam Asghari.<\/strong><\/p>\n On Sunday, August 24, the pop star, 43, took to her Instagram<\/a> to share a photo of herself from behind, seemingly nude, and reflected on how losing contact with her sons Sean Preston<\/strong>, 19, and Jayden James,<\/strong> 18 \u2014 whom she shares with her ex-husband<\/a> Kevin Federline<\/strong> \u2014 affected her.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re just people so fragile and human the hardest years of my life were my two sons gone for those 3 years,\u201d the Grammy Award winner who was married to Federline, 47, from 2004 to 2007 admitted in the caption.<\/p>\n \u201cI was cut off from calling or texting and I remember in shock my secret to survival was denial and a lot of tears its weird me and Sam were married but it almost felt like a fake distraction to help me deal with it,\u201d Spears further confessed.<\/p>\n The \u201cToxic\u201d singer and Asghari, 31, wed in June 2022, but he filed for divorce in August 2023 after a little over a year of marriage.<\/p>\n \u201cWell I know im healing bc im hungry again like a child or baby\u2026 im so hungry it hurts and when I eat its like its my first time ever eating in my life,\u201d Spears continued in her caption. \u201cI believe although I loved my home there is waaay too much abuse and trauma in there.\u201d<\/p>\n As Star<\/em> previously reported, the \u201cCircus\u201d vocalist reconnected with Jayden<\/a> in recent months and has documented some of their time together on Instagram.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/staging.starmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/MEGA1046993_030-scaled-e1752514825201.jpg\")
