After the Oscar-nominated\u00a0<em>Brooklyn Bridge<\/em>\u00a0in 1981, he went on to direct and produce<em> The Civil War<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Baseball<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Jazz<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The War<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The National Parks: America\u2019s Best Idea<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Prohibition<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The Roosevelts: An Intimate History<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The Vietnam War<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Country Music<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The U.S. and the Holocaust<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The American Buffalo<\/em>, and most recently,\u00a0<em>Leonardo da Vinci<\/em>. They are the codirectors of the Oscar-nominated\u00a0film <em>Jesus Camp<\/em>, the Emmy-nominated <em>The Boys of Baraka<\/em>, and the recent <em>Folktales<\/em>, which premiered earlier this year at Sundance.
