Snoop Dogg is under fire after he made homophobic comments about a lesbian couple depicted in the animated movie \u201cLightyear.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

On Wednesday\u2019s episode of the \u201cIt\u2019s Giving\u201d podcast, Snoop spoke about watching the 2022 Disney movie with his grandson. When his grandson questioned Snoop about the lesbian couple in the film having a baby together, Snoop said he didn\u2019t have an answer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cMy grandson, in the middle of the movie, is like, \u2018Papa Snoop? How she have a baby with a woman? She a woman,\u2019\u201d the rapper said on \u201cIt\u2019s Giving\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cAh, shit. I didn\u2019t come in for this shit, I just came to watch the goddamn movie.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He continued, quoting his grandson: \u201d\u2018They just said she and she had a baby. They both women. How did she have a baby?\u2019 … I\u2019m like, scared to go to the movies. Y\u2019all throwing me in the middle of shit that I don\u2019t have an answer for.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Snoop\u2019s comments are edited out of the video version<\/a> of the podcast but are still included in the audio version<\/a>. The podcast\u2019s host, Sarah Fontenot, did not immediately return a request from celebrity.land for comment. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The California rapper said on the podcast that he didn\u2019t answer his grandson; instead, he just told him to be quiet, eat his popcorn and continue watching the movie.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt threw me for a loop,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m like, these are kids, we have to show that at this age? They\u2019re going to ask questions. I don\u2019t have the answer.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Snoop\u2019s reps did not immediately respond to a request for comment from celebrity.land.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSatisfy yourself accordingly,\u201d he said. \u201cI have no issues with nobody. I live for me and I live my life doing what I do, so you should have the right to do whatever you want to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
