About two weeks ago, KTLA 5 Weekend Morning anchors Megan Telles, Lauren Lyster and Kacey Montoya stepped in to help entertainment anchor Doug Kolk after their makeup artist called in sick right<\/a> before the newscast.<\/p>\n This past Saturday, our Doug had another issue: his new haircut. He apparently got clipped a bit too much.<\/p>\n \u201cGet it out, go ahead,\u201d he told Megan, Lauren and Kacey during the newscast on Saturday as the women were giggling at his new hairdo.<\/p>\n \u201cYou got a haircut,\u201d Lauren said as Megan giggled.<\/p>\n \u201cDoug, that\u2019s more than a haircut,\u201d Kacey quipped. \u201cThat\u2019s like a buzzcut.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNo knock to the guy that did it, it\u2019s just not me,\u201d he explained. \u201cIt was not what I was expecting when I sat in the chair. He put up the mirror and was like \u2018What do you think?\u2019 And, I was like \u2018Whoah! Really?’\u201d<\/p>\n The issue was that the barber took too much from the sides and didn\u2019t cut much from the top, which Doug wanted.<\/p>\n Thankfully, Doug\u2019s hair does grow back pretty quickly, but it didn\u2019t stop him from getting roasted by his colleagues. Lauren joked that his five-year-old daughter could\u2019ve done a better job.<\/p>\n \u201cThe fade is not fading,\u201d giggled Megan, who could barely speak from all the laughing.<\/p>\n \u201cIt looks like a mushroom!\u201d Doug said. \u201cI walked into my house and my wife asked, \u2018Where\u2019s the divorce papers?’\u201d<\/p>\n Jokes aside, Kacey offered her services because she felt she could remedy the issue. She even took it to social media. The show\u2019s official X<\/a> account posted a poll, asking viewers to weigh in. A resounding 64 percent voted yes to \u201cfix that thing!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re crowdsourcing our haircuts,\u201d Lauren exclaimed.<\/p>\n On Sunday morning, Kacey brought out the scissors and got to work. She began taking from the sides to even out the cut.<\/p>\n Keep in mind, Kacey doesn\u2019t know how to cut hair, but she did practice on her boyfriend the day before.<\/p>\n Doug seemed to be happy with the cut, considering his options were limited.
