Even though Carmy already has a love interest in the form of Molly Gordon\u2019s Claire, fans are still holding on to the hope that Syd and Carmy\u2019s relationship will eventually become romantic.<\/p>\n Now, in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Edebiri shared her thoughts about the possibility of Sydney and Carmy becoming a couple in future seasons, revealing that she never really interpreted the characters\u2019 relationship as romantic. It\u2019s a hard thing to talk about because we never get it right. I don\u2019t know, my job is to do the thing, and then how you interpret it is how you interpret it.\u201d<\/p>\n Edebiri also believes that the Syd and Carmy romance won\u2019t ever happen due to how complicated the characters are individually. If they do end up together, she thinks that scenario would be catastrophic for the restaurant.<\/p>\n She added, \u201cBut I do think it\u2019s professional, and I do think if anything were to happen, it would not be the show that we\u2019re making. And I also think it would be so crazy. That man is crazy, and that girl is a bad communicator!
