Robert Irwin<\/a> got a special welcome upon arriving in California to begin production on Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe just touched down into L.A. for Dancing With the Stars. Look who I found,\u201d Robert said in a Sunday, August 24, Instagram<\/a> clip before pointing down to his dad Steve Irwin<\/a>\u2018s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.<\/p>\n \u201cHow cool is that?\u201d he said while standing next to his father\u2019s star. \u201cThat\u2019s so awesome. How good. That\u2019s so cool.\u201d<\/p>\n Robert\u2019s sister, Bindi Irwin<\/a>, reacted to the special moment in the post\u2019s comments. \u201cI know Dad is SO proud of you,\u201d she wrote, to which many fans replied that Steve would be \u201cso proud of both of you.\u201d<\/p>\n Robert is the youngest of Steve and Terri Irwin\u2019s two children, along with Bindi. Robert was only two years old when Crocodile Hunter<\/a><\/em> star Steve died at the age of 44 as a result of a stingray injury in 2006. Over the years, he has followed in his father\u2019s footsteps as a TV personality and wildlife conservationist.<\/p>\n Several fans gushed over Robert\u2019s run-in with Steve\u2019s Walk of Fame star \u2014 as well as wished him luck on DWTS<\/em> \u2014 in the post\u2019s comments. \u201cSo cool. Your dad brought joy and education to so many. It\u2019s great to see you follow in his footsteps,\u201d one Instagram user wrote. \u201cGo dance your feet off out there!<\/p>\n \ufffd\ufffd<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n \ufffd\ufffd<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n .\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSo sweet you are so much like him<\/p>\n \ufffd\ufffd<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n ,\u201d another person commented, while someone else shared, \u201cProud to say I\u2019ve taken a picture there<\/p>\n \ufffd\ufffd<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n so excited to watch DWTS again soon!<\/p>\n \ufffd\ufffd<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n .\u201d<\/p>\n One fan wrote that Steve\u2019s star was \u201cwell deserved,\u201d adding, \u201cYour father brought a lot of joy to the TV\u2019s of many families around the world<\/p>\n \ufffd\ufffd<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n .\u201d Another fan got emotional, writing, \u201cYou\u2019re looking down at your dads star but he\u2019s looking down on you :).\u201d<\/p>\n Robert was the first celebrity contestant announced for DWTS<\/em> Season 34<\/a>, followed by social media star Alix Earle<\/a> and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/a><\/em> stars Jennifer Affleck<\/a> and Whitney Leavitt. ABC has not revealed further casting details, including which DWTS pros will return for another shot at the Len Goodman<\/a> Mirrorball Trophy.<\/p>\n In addition to continuing Steve\u2019s legacy, Robert is also following in Bindi\u2019s dancing shoes by competing on DWTS<\/em>. Bindi famously won Season 21 of the ABC competition series with her partner, Derek Hough<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cRobert, you are going to absolutely shine in the ballroom.
