Matthew McConaughey<\/strong> is back on the small screen as Netflix has secured a new series from True Detective<\/strong> creator Nic Pizzolatto. The project, which reunites McConaughey with his Dazed and Confused co-star Cole Hauser<\/strong>, has already generated buzz after reports confirmed the actors will play brothers in the Skydance Sports\u2013backed drama.<\/p>\n According to The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, Amazon and Apple were also in the running, but Netflix ultimately came out on top. Skydance Sports is developing the untitled project, with McConaughey and Hauser set to play brothers.<\/p>\n Industry sources refer to the project as \u201cThe Brothers Project,\u201d though its setting and storyline remain undisclosed. Skydance Sports backs the series, hinting at a possible sports angle.<\/p>\n This collaboration marks another reunion for McConaughey and Hauser, who both starred in Richard Linklater\u2019s 1993 film Dazed and Confused, which helped launch their careers.
