The latest series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins<\/a> has been a tough one, with several of the 14 contestants bowing out almost as soon as they donned their armbands.<\/p>\n

However, on Monday, August 25, the successful candidates who had endured the punishing course and impressed the leaders were finally unveiled. Footballer Troy Deeney, X Factor’s Lucy Spraggan<\/a>, and Peru Two member Michaella McCollum all emerged victorious.<\/p>\n

The seventh instalment of the Channel 4 programme was filmed in Wales and featured a diverse cast including Love Island<\/a>‘s Adam Collard, Drag Queen Bimini, and Traitors winner Harry Clark, who was dismissed from the series for cheating during a task.<\/p>\n

The show pushes the physical and mental limits of celebrity participants as they strive to pass the notoriously challenging SAS Selection test. Many surrendered their armbands within hours of starting the course, including SClub star Hannah Spearritt and Strictly<\/a> Come Dancing’s Tasha Gourhi.<\/p>\n

The finale saw the remaining contestants undergo intense interrogation as they were taken ‘hostage’. Viewers quickly took to social media to pick their winner, with many agreeing that Lucy certainly earned her victory, reports the Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One viewer commented: “Lucy for the win She has been brilliant.” Another added: “Lucy has done the best out of everyone.” A third concurred, stating: “I’d just pass Lucy.”<\/p>\n

However, some believed all three finalists deserved to win, with one remarking: “To pass interrogation you deserve to pass the course.”<\/p>\n

On revealing the news that Lucy, Michaella and Troy had all succeeded, Chief Instructor Billy Billingham declared: “This course is designed to push you through barriers you would never imagine. To strip you back, physically, mentally and emotionally. This course is brutal. Our world is brutal. It will always come down to one question that we will ask ourselves. Would we have that person stood next to us.<\/p>\n

“Number 3, 4 and 10. Congratulations, you have all passed this course. Well done. Seriously guys, good effort, that was a tough, tough course.”<\/p>\n

Lucy confessed she felt “emotional” upon discovering she’d succeeded. She revealed: “It was about 9 million times worse than I thought it was going to be, and I thought it was going to be bad. I really did! It’s utterly traumatising, but unbelievably rewarding. It’s a once in a lifetime thing because I will never do that again!”<\/p>\n

Michaella broke down in tears after hearing she’d reached the finish line. She explained: “I really surprised myself. I didn’t expect that. I didn’t have any intentions of making it to that point, so when I did, I was really proud.”<\/p>\n

Irish Michaella was one of two women apprehended at Lima Airport in 2013 carrying 11kg of cocaine valued at \u00a31.5m whilst trying to board a flight to Spain and subsequently imprisoned.<\/p>\n

Now aged 32, she reflected on her Celebrity SAS victory: “In my life, I’ve made so many mistakes, and it’s led me to stay in my comfort zone way too much. I think this is something so challenging, and something I never thought I could possibly do. Learning that I’m capable of doing that would feel quite amazing.”<\/p>\n

Troy also shared his thoughts on his win: “What an experience! When I saw it was just me, Lucy and Michaella, I thought we were the ones who hadn’t made it. What a relief! Unusual word, but cathartic, that’s how I’d sum it up.”<\/p>\n
