Guy Pearce, Hannah Waddingham, David Ajala, Art Malik, Kaya Scodelario, David Morrissey, Daniel Ings and Gugu Mbatha-Raw round out the cast.<\/p>\n More from The Hollywood Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n The Woman in Cabin 10 <\/em>centers on Lo (Knightley), a travel journalist who is aboard a luxury yacht when she sees a passenger thrown overboard in the middle of the night. When the crew insists that it never happened, Lo attempts to uncover the truth and finds her own safety at risk.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s nothing to be embarrassed about, Laura,\u201d Pearce tells Knightley in the trailer. \u201cYou were convinced what you saw was real.\u201d She promptly replies, \u201cIt was real.\u201d<\/p>\n https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1QbfJzTPY4w<\/a><\/p>\n Later in the footage, Knightley insists, \u201cI am not imagining this.\u201d<\/p>\n Stone helmed the movie from a script he co-wrote with Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse. The screenplay is based on Ruth Ware\u2019s 2017 novel, in addition to an adaptation from Emma Frost. Debra Hayward and Ilda Diffley produce the project.<\/p>\n \u201cAt its heart, the film is about a woman who experiences something wrong, reports it truthfully and isn\u2019t taken seriously because of who she is,\u201d Ware said in a statement. \u201cToo many people know what that feels like, and I think we want vindication for ourselves as much as Lo.\u201d<\/p>\n Knightley is an Oscar-nominated actress who stars in the Netflix spy series Black Doves<\/em>.
