MEGHAN Markle has made yet another dig at the Royal Family as she claimed she “couldn’t be as vocal” when in the UK.<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Sussex<\/a>, 44, opened up about how her life felt “inauthentic…several years ago” in an interview with Bloomberg Originals.<\/p>\n

The mum-of-two, who lives in a \u00a312million Montecito mansion <\/a>and spends her evenings learning French on Duo Lingo, was asked if it’s hard to appear “relatable”.<\/p>\n

She replied<\/a>: “No, I’m just being myself. I think it was probably different several years ago where I couldn’t be as vocal and I had to wear nude pantyhose all the time.<\/p>\n

“Let’s be honest, that’s not very myself, I hadn’t seen pantyhose since movies in the eighties when they came in that little egg.<\/p>\n

“That felt a little bit inauthentic, but that’s a silly example, but it is an example of when you’re able to dress the way you wanna dress and you’re able to say the things that are true and you’re able to show up in the space really organically that’s being comfortable in your own skin.”<\/p>\n

The Duchess added how she doesn’t feel as though she has to prove anything anymore.<\/p>\n

“I think our character, who we are at our core, I don’t think that shifts, I think a lot of behaviours and habits and roles you end up playing in life can bring out the best and worst in people,” she said.<\/p>\n

However, despite claiming she was forced to be “inauthentic”, the Duchess appeared to later contradict herself. <\/p>\n

She was asked by Emily Chang: “What have you learned about your self since becoming a Sussex?”<\/p>\n

Meghan responded: “What I’ve learned about myself, is no matter what my name is or what people call me, I’m still the same person. <\/p>\n

“So that didn’t really change who I am. And maybe that’s probably the biggest distinguishing factor.”<\/p>\n

And, she stressed again how her legal name is Meghan Duchess of Sussex.<\/p>\n

The mum-of-two previously came under fire for correcting her pal Mindy Kaling<\/a> about her name in the first season of With Love, Meghan. <\/p>\n

She welcomed the US Office star,\u00a0who said: “People wouldn\u2019t believe that\u00a0Meghan Markle\u00a0ate at Jack in the Box.”<\/p>\n

Meghan fired back with: “It\u2019s so funny, too, that you keep saying Meghan Markle. You know I\u2019m Sussex now.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked by Ms Chang is she feels as though she owns her life story now, the Duchess confessed: “I know I do.”<\/p>\n

‘CARVE OUT THE LIFE THEY WANT’<\/h2>\n

In what appeared to be comments about Megxit, the mum-of-two touched on Archie and Lilibet’s <\/a>future. <\/p>\n

Ms Chang asked if there was anything she wanted for her children regarding family – that was “different” to what Harry and Meghan experienced. <\/p>\n

In response, Meg said she wanted her kids to “carve out the life they want for themselves”.<\/p>\n

It comes as the second season of With Love, Meghan dropped today<\/span>Credit: Bloomberg<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Duchess said this would be “very reflective” of choices made by herself and the Duke. <\/p>\n

She also spoke of wanting financial independence for her children. <\/p>\n

Meghan has highlighted her own upbringing multiple times, referring to herself as a “latch-key kid”.<\/a><\/p>\n

“I grew up clipping coupons, I grew up looking for deals and the sale rack. I always worked,” she said. <\/p>\n

But, estranged father Thomas Markle previously told how Meghan’s grandmother would be “turning in her grave” <\/a>to hear these claims. <\/p>\n

The idea Meghan was a “latchkey” child troubled Mr Markle, who said he would personally pick his daughter up from school every day or send a car to fetch her if he was too busy.<\/p>\n

Money was never an issue, Mr Markle added – claiming they would eat out at least three times a week.<\/p>\n

And he claimed Meghan lived with him full-time from the age of 11 until she went off to university at 18.<\/p>\n

In her interview, the As Ever founder continued to express how important it is for young women to earn their own money.<\/p>\n

And on her parenting approach with hubby Harry, the mum-of-two explained everything “comes back to values” despite “all the privilege”.<\/p>\n

Asked what her go-to kids’ meal is, Meghan said she feeds them chicken nuggets and tater tots out of the freezer – and Lilibet loves macaroni cheese.<\/p>\n

‘A REALLY BIG CHOICE’<\/h2>\n

In her latest interview, the Duchess also discussed her Instagram account, which sees endless promotion of various business ventures.<\/p>\n

She spoke of the “very big decision” to post the controversial video of her dancing while pregnant in the delivery room.<\/a><\/p>\n

“Putting out a video of myself, nine months pregnant was a really big choice,” she explained.<\/p>\n

“But I also wanted people to see themselves in my story and our story, and to be able to show that with all the noise that might happen in the world on a day-to-day basis, real life is still happening behind the scenes.”<\/p>\n

Her veiled digs during her Bloomberg interview with Emily Chang are not the first.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Duchess of Sussex<\/a> has previously alluded to the fact she has “receipts” that could back up her allegations against The Firm.<\/p>\n

Harry<\/a>\u00a0and Meghan have repeatedly trashed the Royal Family, from their infamous 2021 Oprah interview, their\u00a0Netflix docuseries, the Duke’s book\u00a0Spare<\/a>, and his most recent\u00a0explosive BBC interview.<\/a><\/p>\n

In particular,\u00a0their appearance on Oprah<\/a>\u00a0sparked huge controversy after the couple claimed there had been\u00a0conversations about Archie’s skin colour.<\/a><\/p>\n

They also alleged\u00a0Meghan’s suffering mental health<\/a>, during her time as part of the institution, had not been addressed.<\/p>\n

Royal expert Jack Royston argued it wouldn’t matter if the Sussexes did plan on dropping any more bombshells.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0The Royal Exclusive\u00a0show host: “The problem is with the way Harry and Meghan piled in quite relentlessly on the royals.<\/p>\n

“But there’s always been this thing that Meghan’s kind of intimated that she’s got receipt, that was in the days after Oprah, one of her friends went on ITV and said, ‘we’ve got the receipts to prove everything’.<\/p>\n

“There was also a point where she was giving an interview and she said ‘I’ve never signed anything, so I can say whatever I want’.”<\/p>\n

But the expert added how he did not think any of the royals would be “scared” of any more digs.<\/p>\n

“Ultimately, they destroyed themselves by the way they basically relentlessly attacked Harry’s own family in a context where no-one was fighting back,” he continued.<\/p>\n

“And so, they may well still be sitting on unused material that Harry says he’ll never share.<\/p>\n

“But it doesn’t matter anymore because even if they did, they’re so uniformly viewed as the villains, particularly in Britain, but even in America, they’re not viewed in this protective way anymore.<\/p>\n

“So, even if they are sitting on some unexploded bombs, I don’t actually think that the royals need to be too scared of it.”<\/p>\n

WITH LOVE, MEGHAN<\/h2>\n

Meghan’s Bloomberg interview comes just hours after Netflix released the second season <\/a>of her cookery and lifestyle show.<\/p>\n

Despite stepping down as a senior working royal and quitting the UK, fans slammed the Duchess for being hypocritical <\/a>after she revealed her 40th birthday present for Prince Harry.<\/p>\n

In the seventh episode, Meg appeared with pal Heather Dorak on a day trip to Malibu to take pottery and cocktail classes.<\/p>\n

She devoted around four minutes on how to pack a bag, and revealed she likes to take “things that bring me joy”.<\/p>\n

This included a blue PH40 baseball cap she made for her hubby’s 40th birthday and photos of her family.<\/p>\n

The PH referring to his royal title, Prince Harry, despite the fact the pair stepped down as senior working royals in 2020.<\/p>\n

Meghan had\u00a0teased the cringey episodes with a trailer<\/a>\u00a0earlier this month, in which she said she loved “finding ways to show she cares”.<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Sussex’s new episodes – with more celebrity guests – also open up on her Royal Wedding and anniversary.<\/p>\n

The show was\u00a0renewed for a second run<\/a>\u00a0after the first season dropped in March, despite\u00a0mixed reviews from critics and fans<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The second series has premiered two weeks after Harry and Meghan announced a watered-down deal with the streaming giant Netflix.<\/p>\n

They signed a “multi-year, first-look deal for film and television projects”, instead of a reported $100million contract five years ago.<\/p>\n

Other clips see her reminisce about Magic FM from her time in the UK, in which she says she misses the station.<\/p>\n

The duchess, who moved her family to the US five years ago, said: “Honestly one of the things I miss the most about the UK is the radio station… Magic FM.<\/p>\n

Her husband\u00a0Prince\u00a0Harry<\/a>\u00a0does not appear in any of the show’s new episodes, featuring only in two photographs.<\/p>\n

But speaking on their children, Meghan told how spending nearly three weeks away from them left her feeling “not well”.<\/p>\n

The former Suits star was speaking with Tan, who explained he gets heartbroken if away from his children for more than a couple of days.<\/p>\n

A serious-looking Meghan replies: “Oh I know. The longest I went without being around our kids was almost three weeks.”<\/p>\n

“I was …not well.”<\/p>\n

In episode two of the new series, Meghan is joined by Chrissy Teigan and, briefly, by her singer husband\u00a0John Legend<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meghan admits how she wished she had invited Harry while the pair are in her kitchen.<\/p>\n

Meghan also revealed that it was Harry who first said “I love you” between the pair, blushing as she remembered the moment.<\/p>\n
