Celebrity chef Jameson Stocks has weighed in on Meghan Markle\u2019s<\/a> future after attempting to binge-watch the latest instalment of her show, With Love, Meghan. On Tuesday, August 2, the Duchess of Sussex returned to our screens with season two of her lifestyle and cooking show,<\/a> on Netflix<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Across the eight-part series, the Duchess, 44, appeared alongside a stellar line-up of guests including David Chang and Clare Smyth. The British chef, who was the first woman in the UK to win three Michelin stars, praised Meghan\u2019s efforts in the kitchen<\/a>, saying \u201cmy goodness, you are a stellar chef.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, after sitting down to review the series, Jameson claimed that Meghan has become a risk for Netflix,<\/a> rather than a win.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIn my opinion, she poses more of a liability than an asset,\u201d he said. \u201cThe reality is that Netflix<\/a> offered her a lucrative deal primarily to secure her exclusivity and prevent competitors from acquiring her. That\u2019s the bottom line.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then added, \u201cIf her debut season had been developed under a show contract like the one she currently has, I seriously doubt it would have been greenlit.\u201d<\/p>\n

The chef, who has cooked for King Charles<\/a> and serves as a proud ambassador of the King\u2019s Trust,<\/a> also questioned who was involved in getting the show off the ground for a second season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He argued that the partnership has damaged Netflix<\/a>\u2019s image as much as her own.<\/p>\n

\u201cNetflix<\/a> are a streaming giant. I think this program doesn\u2019t just look bad on her. It also makes Netflix<\/a> look average,\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n

Following such strong opinions from the first season, Jameson admitted that he \u201capproached\u201d season two with a complete \u201copen mind\u201d, and was hoping there would be a huge shake up to improve this season, which he truly welcomed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, he was quick to say \u201cBarely two minutes into the opening credits, I found myself wondering why I was even watching this nonsense.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe conversation between her and Daniel [Martin] was about as engaging as watching a sheep graze. It felt just as staged and artificial as The Truman Show. When Daniel turns around and says, \u2018I can\u2019t believe they\u2019re coming,\u2019 referring to the two celebrity guests, I couldn\u2019t help but think, seriously? Netflix<\/a> is paying these people to show up\u2014they\u2019re not here for the fun of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jameson went further, saying Meghan \u201ccomes across as spoilt and privileged, and even her interactions with her so-called friends on the show feel staged, fake, and awkward.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
