Thunderbolts*<\/a> director Jake Schreier<\/a> has shared an update about his new X-Men<\/a><\/strong> movie.<\/p>\n After directing Marvel Studios<\/a>\u2019 Thunderbolts*, Schreier has been tapped to direct a new X-Men movie. The MCU<\/a> film is not expected to arrive until after Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, and no casting has yet been announced.<\/p>\n Speaking with Empire Magazine<\/a>, Schreier confirmed that he\u2019s started working on X-Men for Marvel<\/a>. While he couldn\u2019t give away any specific details about the project, he called it \u201cvery, very exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n He further said about how directing Thunderbolts* will influence X-Men, \u201cThere are so many things that I didn\u2019t know about before I started [Thunderbolts*]. The biggest learning curve for me was the proportion of the action to the more emotional, character-driven scenes, and how, even though it\u2019s more shooting days than I\u2019ve ever had, they get eaten up quite quickly by the action stuff. By the time we got to the end of it, it felt like, \u2018Oh, now I feel like we get how to do this a little bit better.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201c\u2026[On\u00a0Thunderbolts*] we\u2019re in the middle of nowhere in Utah, in a gorgeous location, owning a road, and filming in 100-degree heat, or finding yourself on the second-tallest building in the world. These are very special experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n Marvel\u2019s new X-Men movie does not yet have an official release date.
