Spoon<\/a> have released two new songs, \u201cChateau Blues<\/a>\u201d and \u201cGuess I\u2019m Fallin in Love<\/a>.\u201d The double A-side was recorded during the indie-rock band\u2019s ongoing sessions for a new album. \u201cAs we finished up the first two songs for the LP, it crossed somebody\u2019s mind and eventually all of ours that these two really should come out now,\u201d said Spoon frontperson Britt Daniel<\/a>. Listen to those songs, both co-produced with Justin Meldal-Johnsen, below.<\/p>\n \u201cTwo new tunes with distinct personalities that were summoned into the world the past few months in Austin, Texas, and Providence, Rhode Island,\u201d Daniel\u2019s statement continues. \u201cIt\u2019s a big day all around: Tonight we kick off our first tour in a while in Santa Ana, and tomorrow we start up our run with the Pixies\u2014let\u2019s face it, one of theee great bands of all TIMES. A band that some may know has long been near and dear to me. It\u2019s a real pleasure and we\u2019re real happy to be getting back into gig world for a sec. See you down front.\u201d<\/p>\n As mentioned in that statement, Spoon are going on a U.S. tour with Pixies<\/a> that starts tonight (August 26) in Santa Ana, California, and keeps them on the road through September 20 when they end the run in Atlanta, Georgia.<\/p>\n It\u2019s been three years since Spoon\u2019s last album, Lucifer on the Sofa<\/em><\/a>. They followed it with a full-length dub redux titled Lucifer on the Moon<\/em><\/a>, as well as the Memory Dust<\/em> EP<\/a> in 2023.<\/p>\n
