Taylor Swift<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and Travis Kelce<\/span><\/a><\/strong>\u2019s wildest dreams are coming true.<\/p>\n In a joint social media post, the Grammy winner and Super Bowl champion, both 35, announced they are engaged<\/span><\/a> after two years of dating.<\/p>\n \u201cYour English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married \ud83e\udde8,\u201d Swift wrote via Instagram<\/span><\/a> on Tuesday, August 26, with photos from the romantic moment.<\/p>\n As family, friends and Swifties celebrate the relationship milestone, multiple sources recently shined a light on just how strong Swift and Kelce\u2019s bond became this summer.<\/p>\n \u201cTaylor and Travis have settled into a real rhythm as a couple, and the more time they spend together, the more they realize how aligned they are,\u201d a source shared in Us Weekly<\/i>\u2019s August 20 cover story<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n A second source added, \u201cDuring this downtime, they really noticed all the little things they have in common. They feel like they\u2019ve found their person.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite a disappointing Super Bowl loss in early February, Kelce took a deserved break from football earlier this summer before kicking off his 13th, and potentially final, NFL season.<\/p>\n As for Swift, she was able to enjoy the NFL offseason with Kelce after she wrapped the Eras<\/i> world tour in December 2024.<\/p>\n \u201cThis time together solidified Taylor knowing that she wants to be with Travis forever,\u201d the second source told Us<\/i>.<\/p>\n The first insider added, \u201cThey want to be married and have kids in the future. They\u2019re both genuinely ready for that chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n For now, Swift remains \u201cincredibly supportive\u201d of Kelce\u2019s career as she gears up to watch her fianc\u00e9 play on the Kansas City Chiefs. (The team\u2019s first game of the regular season is Friday, September 5.)<\/p>\n \u201cShe is the most engulfed fan now,\u201d Kelce shared with GQ<\/i><\/span><\/a> in an interview published August 12. \u201cShe knows what the injury reports look like.\u201d<\/p>\n And while Kelce prepares to score more touchdowns with his teammate and close friend Patrick Mahomes<\/strong>, Swift is gearing up for the release of her 12th studio album titled The Life of a Showgirl<\/i><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n After Swift revealed the album cover on the August 13 episode of Kelce\u2019s \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast<\/span><\/a>, fans are already speculating that one song called \u201cOpalite\u201d<\/span><\/a> could be about the NFL player.<\/p>\n Swift notably donned opal earrings while cheering on Kelce at his AFC Championship game in January 2024. Opal also happens to be Kelce\u2019s birthstone, as he was born on October 5, 1989.<\/p>\n (While fans will have to wait until the album\u2019s release date on October 3, Kelce has already described the body of work as \u201call bangers.\u201d)<\/p>\n
