Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s longtime best friend Abigail Anderson<\/strong><\/a> is celebrating the singer\u2019s engagement to Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis,\u201d Anderson, 35, wrote with a red heart emoji via Instagram Stories on Tuesday, August 26, sharing the photos from Kelce\u2019s proposal to Swift, 35.<\/a><\/p>\n

The two women have been friends since their teenage years. Anderson is even mentioned in Swift\u2019s 2008 song \u201cFifteen\u201d about their freshman year.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou sit in class next to a redhead named Abigail,\u201d the lyrics read. \u201cAnd soon enough, you\u2019re best friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift and Kelce, both 35, announced the exciting news\u00a0via Instagram on Tuesday, August 26, sharing photos from the garden proposal. One photo showed Kelce kneeling in front of Swift with a ring box in one hand as she cradled his face, while another snap showed [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Anderson\u2019s repost of the engagement images set the photos to Swift\u2019s song \u201cSo High School,\u201d<\/a> which is about the singer\u2019s relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs player. (Swift originally posted her engagement photos with the song.)<\/p>\n

\u201cYour English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,\u201d Swift captioned an Instagram post on Tuesday. The series of five photos<\/a> showed the NFL star on one knee in a field of flowers. Another image offered a closer look at Swift\u2019s new piece of jewelry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The ring, designed by Kindred Lubeck<\/strong> at Artifex Fine Jewelry, features an old mine brilliant cut diamond set on a gold band with smaller stones and complete with a thin bezel.<\/p>\n

Kelce\u2019s proposal comes nearly two years after he and Swift took their relationship public in September 2023<\/a>. The couple first connected after Kelce used his \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast as \u201chis personal dating app\u201d (Swift\u2019s words, not ours) at the time.<\/p>\n

For those who are unfamiliar, Kelce was disappointed when he couldn\u2019t meet Swift backstage at her Eras Tour<\/em><\/a> concert in Kansas City. During his podcast episode after the show, Kelce revealed he hoped to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it. The rest was history.<\/p>\n

The couple made their debut two months later when Swift was spotted attending one of Kelce\u2019s NFL games, making them the most watched couple in the world.<\/p>\n

Their engagement also came weeks after Swift made her debut on the \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast<\/a> and discussed her relationship with Kelce at length.<\/p>\n
