Fox News interrupted its Tuesday broadcast to announce that Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> star Travis Kelce has proposed to Taylor Swift<\/a>.<\/p>\n The news broke during a America Reports segment with John Roberts and Sandra Smith on August 26 as they were discussing President Donald Trump<\/a>‘s National Guard deployment plans.<\/p>\n During the broadcast, John halted the discussion to share, “We have some breaking news. How about this one Sandra? Sounds like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are now engaged to be married<\/a>.<\/p>\n “We do not have a date yet but football season is underway so it will be likely after that,” he added.<\/p>\n Fans were stunned that the right-leaning news show interrupted Trump news to celebrate the singer, who has an ongoing feud with the president.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n On X, a Swiftie wrote, “Taylor Swift<\/a> is now the #1 news item and Trump can’t compete with her news.”<\/p>\n Another added, “Thank you Travis Kelce<\/a> and Taylor Swift<\/a> (congratulations)!for getting Trump out of news briefly today! I\u2019m overdosing on him and his lies, enough already!!!”<\/p>\n “Trump is going to be seething with rage when he sees Taylor Swift<\/a>‘s engagement announcement,” a third claimed.<\/p>\n The president has put his own negative thoughts on the singer aside momentarily to congratulate them.<\/p>\n When asked about the news during a press briefing, he first joked, “Well, I wish him a lot of luck.”<\/p>\n He then added, “Nah, I think it’s \u2014 I think he’s a great player, I think he’s a great guy, and I think that she’s a terrific person.
