Brittany Mahomes<\/strong><\/a> couldn\u2019t be happier for Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> and Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> after their engagement \u2014 just like Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo of the most genuine people meet & fall in love,\u201d Mahomes, 29, wrote via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, August 26, sharing the couple\u2019s announcement, which was set to Swift\u2019s song \u201cSo High School.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mahomes continued, \u201cJust so happy for these two \ud83e\udd79\ud83e\udd0d.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift and Kelce, both 35, nearly broke the internet on Tuesday with their joint Instagram<\/a> reveal. \u201cYour English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married \ud83e\udde8,\u201d the caption read. Their announcement included various photos of the couple during what appeared to be Travis\u2019 proposal, including a pic showing Swift\u2019s massive Old Mine brilliant cut engagement ring.<\/p>\n

The couple got engaged in a garden full of flowers and looked happier than [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The pair\u2019s love story began in the summer of 2023, when Kelce famously revealed on \u201cNew Heights\u201d that he attempted to give Swift his phone number<\/a> on a friendship bracelet at one of her Eras Tour<\/em> concerts in Kansas City. (Us<\/em> will never forget that the now-iconic \u201cbutthurt\u201d moment<\/a> occurred during an ad read for SeatGeek.)<\/p>\n

While the twosome didn\u2019t cross paths at the concert, Swift and Kelce eventually connected, and she attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game that fall. Since then, she\u2019s become a staple at Arrowhead Stadium and is often joined by Brittany \u2014 the wife of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes<\/strong> \u2014 in a VIP suite.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have a really genuine friendship and love hanging out at the games together and cheering on their men,\u201d a source exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> in January 2024. \u201cBrittany loves that Taylor is dating Travis, and she\u2019s so supportive of their relationship. They have a very similar sense of humor and are always cracking jokes and laughing.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time, the insider emphasized that the women didn\u2019t only develop a friendship because of their romantic partners. \u201cEven if things didn\u2019t work out between Taylor and Travis, Taylor feels like her friendship with Brittany would continue no matter what,\u201d the source told Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Luckily for them \u2014 and Us<\/em> \u2014 Swift and Kelce have proven to be end game.
