Look out, Spotify: Apple Music is introducing a new tool that allows users to import playlists from other streaming platforms.<\/p>\n

After being beta-tested in Australia and New Zealand in May 2025, the playlist importing tool is now available in the US, UK, Mexico, Canada, France, Brazil, and Germany. As reported by MacRumors<\/a>, the tool can be found in a new Music settings menu called Transfer Music from Other Music Services. That\u2019s where users can sign in to another streaming service and select items to import. Apple\u2019s Support page<\/a> has more detailed instructions, as well as an alternative method via your web browser.<\/p>\n

This new Apple Music importing tool lands during a wave of artists leaving Spotify altogether. Deerhoof<\/a>, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard<\/a>, Godspeed You! Black Emperor<\/a>, Xiu Xiu<\/a>, and Hotline TNT<\/a> are among the acts pulling their music from the platform. The primary reason for the mass exodus: Spotify CEO Daniel Ek\u2019s investments in Helsing, a German company specializing in AI military software.<\/p>\n
