New York DJ and producer Layton Giordani has launched a label in partnership with <\/span>Armada Music<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The dance label\u2019s first single is set for release in early September.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It follows a series of DJ label partnerships for Armada Music, including <\/span>Dutch electronic artist Joris Voorn<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>UK dance dance act SILK<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Madminds is dedicated to supporting up-and-coming artists and releasing music that blurs genre lines.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n “Teaming up with <\/span>Armada Music<\/span><\/a> to create Madminds at this moment felt very natural and in sync with where I\u2019m at in my career,\u201d said Layton Giordani. \u201cIt feels like the right time to give back and share my story with the world, with a renewed vision and collaborative focus. It\u2019s time to shake things up for <\/span>electronic music<\/span><\/a>, rising from the very place that raised me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking about the New York City base for the label, he added: \u201cNew York City is where I first discovered house and techno at 16 years old. I was entrenched in the culture very early on in my career and had the honour of watching the genre\u2019s pioneers shape the music we now love. My first residencies were here, from Pacha NYC to Output Brooklyn, and the city undoubtedly influenced me in every way.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
