The upcoming Chicago Med<\/strong> Season 11<\/strong> will include the return<\/strong> of a major cast member. The show was renewed for an eleventh season in May 2025, and following the conclusion of its 10th installment, which aired on May 21, 2025, fans have been eagerly looking forward to updates on the next season.<\/p>\n According to Deadline<\/a>, Chicago Med veteran Nick Gehlfuss is set to appear as Dr. Will Halstead in Season 11 of the popular medical drama series. Gehlfuss was part of the show\u2019s main cast in its first eight seasons (2015-2023).<\/p>\n He also portrayed the character in several episodes of Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. At the time of this article\u2019s composition, it is unclear how many episodes he will be part of in the upcoming chapter.<\/p>\n Gehlfuss last appeared in the final episode of Season 8. As MacDonald indicated, the character returned in Season 10.<\/p>\n During a 2023 interview with Deadline<\/a>, Gehlfuss stated that his potential return was part of the discussions on how Dr. Halstead was to leave the show in Season 8. He added, \u201cI wanted that to be the case, but of course, I would have been okay with whatever the writers felt necessary for the story. So I\u2019m glad that they preserve that possibility.
