Aug. 26 (UPI) —<\/span> The Busan International Film Festival has announced the lineup for its 2025 edition.<\/p>\n Taking place Sept. 17 to 26 in Busan, South Korea, the 30th annual festival will feature<\/a> 14 films in competition that include titles from Korea, Japan, China, Iran, Tajikistan, Taiwan and Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n Highlights include Girl<\/i>, the directorial debut from actress Shu Qi, who stars in another entry, Resurrection<\/i>, directed by Bi Gan. Gloaming in Luomu<\/i> by Zhang Lu will also screen, along with Miyake Sho’s Two Seasons, Two Strangers<\/i>, the Golden Leopard winner<\/a> at the Locarno Film Festival.<\/p>\n Another Birth<\/i> (directed by Isabelle Kalandar), Baka’s Identity<\/i> (Nagata Koto), By Another Name<\/i> (Lee Jeahan), En Route To <\/i>(Yoo Jaein), Funky Freaky Freaks<\/i> (Han Chang-lok), Leave the Cat Alone<\/i> (Shigaya Daisuke), Left-Handed Girl<\/i> (Tsou Shih-Ching), Seven O’Clock Breakfast Club for the Brokenhearted<\/i> (Lim Sun-ae), Spying Stars<\/i> (Vimukthi Jayasundara), and Without Permission<\/i> (Hassan Nazer) will also screen in competition.<\/p>\n Guillermo del Toro (L) and Kim Morgan attend the 95th annual Academy Awards in 2023.
