The Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame has unveiled its 2025 inductees and honorees, set to be celebrated at the 12th annual La Musa Awards on Oct. 16 in Miami\u2019s Flamingo Theater, Billboard Espa\u00f1ol<\/em> can exclusively announce.<\/p>\n \u201cOur mission is to elevate the voices of Latin music creators whose\u00a0stories and songs have touched the hearts of millions around the world,\u201d\u00a0says Rudy Perez, LSHOF chairman and CEO, in a statement. \u201cThis year\u2019s inductees and\u00a0honorees have not only defined Latin music but have also paved the way\u00a0for future generations of songwriters.\u201d<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n Chairman emeritus Desmond Child adds, \u201cLa Musa Awards celebrate the heart and soul of our culture, educating our\u00a0audiences to the extraordinary contributions of Latin music makers, who\u00a0continue to influence and enhance the music of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n This year\u2019s inductees include Spanish singer-songwriter Enrique Bunbury<\/a>; Colombian musician, songwriter and producer Andr\u00e9s Castro; prolific Cuban songwriter Jorge Luis Piloto; Argentine pianist, composer, and conductor Lalo Schifrin (posthumous); and Mexican songwriter M\u00f3nica V\u00e9lez.<\/p>\n As for the 2025 Special Awards, the recipients are \u00c1ngela Aguilar<\/a> (La Musa Elena Casals Award); Charles Fox (Desi Arnaz Pioneer Award); J&N Publishing\u2019s Juan Hidalgo and Nelson Est\u00e9vez (Ralph S. Peer Publishers Award); Mike O\u2019Neill (La Musa Founders Award); and Lenny Tav\u00e1rez (La Musa Triunfador Award).<\/p>\n \u201cCelebrating our gifted Latin\u00a0songwriters as an essential part of our industry is a step not only in\u00a0recognizing their incredible creativity, but also in inspiring and\u00a0ensuring the future of our writers of tomorrow,\u201d LSHOF president, Marti Cuevas, said in the statement.<\/p>\n Additionally, \u201cEl Rey\u201d \u2014 the timeless mariachi song written and recorded by Jos\u00e9\u00a0Alfredo Jim\u00e9nez in 1971 \u2014 will be honored as The Song of All Time for its\u00a0\u201cenormous influence and contribution to Latin music,\u201d and its impact and\u00a0success, reflected in the countless versions recorded.
