A mysterious social media post by one of the biggest rock bands of the 1980s has sparked rumors of an ex-member’s return after fans think they’ve spotted a cryptic clue in a new video upload.<\/p>\n
On August 26, rock band Bon Jovi<\/strong> posted a new reel to their official social media pages. The black and white clip<\/a> featured a vintage car pulling to a stop, with a license plate that read, “RDWT JRZY.”<\/p>\n The caption read, “Welcome to Jersey.” This was followed by a comment from Jon Bon Jovi<\/strong> who stated, “It’s happening.”<\/p>\n Neither the band nor the rocker gave further explanation regarding the clip in its caption. Is this finally it?”<\/p>\n Richie Sambora’s last concert with Bon Jovi was on\u00a0March 17, 2013, in Lubbock, Texas. He left in the middle of the band’s Because We Can world tour to focus on his family and has not toured with the band since.<\/p>\n Sambora addressed leaving his role as Bon Jovi’s lead guitarist and songwriter in\u00a0the\u00a0Hulu docuseries, Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story<\/a>. In episode three, Sambora claimed leaving the band was an “amalgamation” of things, including “deep family problems.”<\/p>\n He explained, “I spent so much time being on the road. At that time, unfortunately, my ex-wife (Heather Locklear<\/strong>) was having some mental health issues, and my daughter was coming to an age where she could understand.”<\/p>\n In the docuseries, Jon was subsequently asked when he realized Sambora\u2019s departure was permanent. He admitted, \u201c10 years later, I still haven\u2019t.”<\/p>\n Sambora added in a 2024 interview for\u00a0The Allison Hagendorf Show<\/a>\u00a0that he wouldn’t rule out a reunion. \u201cThe fans will just love it. It\u2019s not finance, it has nothing to do with [that]. The world could use it.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut, as Jon said, he\u2019s been having problems with his voice, and now he has had that operation.\u2026 It\u2019s an iffy thing at best. The results of his recovery process was evident on the band’s 16th studio album, Forever, released in 2024.<\/p>\n However, the entertainer claimed that the ultimate goal was to be able to get back to live performing. “Although I\u2019m well on the road to recovery and was able to take my time and do a song a day when I made the record, my need, want, desire is to be able to do two-and-a-half hours a night four nights a week for months on end.
