Dancing With the Stars continues to keep its celebrity contestant lineup under lock and key, but as the season premiere nears, some details are emerging about a potentially controversial pick.<\/p>\n
According to a report by People<\/a>, Hilaria Baldwin, who stars alongside her husband Alec Baldwin in the TLC reality series The Baldwins, has joined the ABC competition series for Season 34. ABC did not immediately respond to Soaps.com\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n More from Soaps.com<\/strong><\/p>\n While the casting isn\u2019t officially confirmed, it\u2019s sure to have its supporters and detractors, courtesy of the polarizing celeb, who has been fueling speculation that she\u2019s boarding DWTS with dancing videos on her Instagram<\/a>. She responded to the rumors in a recent interview with Extra, saying, \u201cI see it in my comments. There\u2019s been a lot of people manifesting. It\u2019s been a lot of fun manifesting, and let\u2019s continue to manifest.\u201d<\/p>\n In April, wildlife conservationist\u00a0Robert Irwin<\/a>, the younger brother of Season 21 winner Bindi Irwin (with pro Derek Hough), was the first celebrity cast member announced for Season 34. Irwin dropped some hints in January 2022 during an interview with\u00a0Entertainment Tonight<\/a>\u00a0that he was open to the idea of following in his sister\u2019s footsteps.<\/p>\n Robert Irwin<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve gotta do that, don\u2019t we? Yeah, I reckon it\u2019s about time, eh? I\u2019d definitely give it a go,\u201d he said enthusiastically and then turned to Bindi, \u201cI reckon you could give me some tips. I think it\u2019d be a lot of fun.\u201d<\/p>\n Then in May, social media influencer Alix Earle was the second hopeful tapped to compete. \u201cI\u2019ve always been a fan of Dancing With the Stars. I used to watch it when I was so young with my grandma,\u201d Earle told Good Morning America. \u201cWhen this opportunity came to me, it was like, \u2018What can I do next? Where can I take this?\u2019 I\u2019m ready to challenge myself. I think it\u2019s going to be a lot of fun.
