Olivia Rinaldi \u2014 who covers the White House for CBS News \u2014 revealed on social media that one of the network\u2019s producers, Gaby Ake, texted her with \u201cthe world\u2019s biggest news\u201d after the celebrity megacouple shared pictures of the garden proposal<\/a> on Instagram.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In a clip<\/a> shared by CBS News, Rinaldi\u2019s jaw dropped as she looked down at her phone while standing outside the White House ahead of a live TV segment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cTaylor Swift<\/a> is engaged! Taylor Swift is engaged!\u201d Rinaldi said while waving around her phone and gesturing for the studio to \u201ccome back\u201d to her to share the news.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She later continued, \u201cOh, my God! Oh, my God! … I feel like Paul Revere right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Rinaldi \u2014 who also remarked on Swift\u2019s \u201cginormous\u201d ring, one that experts estimate is worth hundreds of<\/a> thousands<\/a> of dollars \u2014 could barely hide her joy before she broke the news to viewers, cracking a smile in what she described as an \u201cexciting moment\u201d in her professional career.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
