Season 8 of \u201cThe Rookie\u201d<\/a> will kick off in Prague.<\/p>\n Several stars of the ABC police procedural were spotted filming<\/a> in the Czech Republic city, thus confirming their returns to \u201cThe Rookie.\u201d Recurring villain Monica Stevens (Bridget Regan<\/b>) is back in action after getting an immunity deal during season 7. <\/p>\n Nathan Fillion<\/b>, who stars as Officer John Nolan, was seen shooting a scene in Prague with Regan and Jenna Dewan<\/b>, who plays John Nolan\u2019s wife, fire Lieutenant Bailey Nune. It seems that John will be forced to team up with Monica in season 8 of \u201cThe Rookie,\u201d thanks to her immunity deal.<\/p>\n \u201cUltimately, [Monica\u2019s immunity storyline is] going to generate some great stories for us going forward, like our trip to Prague, because ultimately, part of her immunity deal is helping us catch a few bad guys,\u201d showrunner Alexi Hawley told Collider<\/a> in August. \u201cSo, now she becomes part of the team. It\u2019s a weird thing.\u201d<\/p>\n Monica isn\u2019t the only villain returning for season 8 of \u201cThe Rookie,\u201d which will premiere in 2026 as part of ABC\u2019s midseason lineup. Patrick Keleher<\/b>, who made his debut as the deceptive Seth Ridley during season 7 of \u201cThe Rookie,\u201d won\u2019t be back<\/a>. However, Hawley did tell TVLine<\/a> that Seth could return further down the line.<\/p>\n \u201cSomething shocking deserved to happen [to the character], and then we\u2019ll see where it goes,\u201d he said. Seth lied about having cancer during his time as an LAPD rookie. He later got shot and needed to have his leg amputated, which put his law enforcement career on pause.<\/p>\n Aside from Keleher, the rest of \u201cThe Rookie\u201d season 7 main cast will be back for the next installment. Shawn Ashmore<\/b> (Wesley Evers), Deric Augustine <\/b>(Miles Penn), Lisseth Chavez<\/b> (Celina Juarez), Mekia Cox<\/b> (Nyla Harper), Arjay Smith <\/b>(James Murray), Alyssa Diaz <\/b>(Angela Lopez), Richard T. Jones <\/b>(Wade Grey), Melissa O\u2019Neil<\/b> (Lucy Chen), and Eric Winter<\/b> (Tim Bradford) will all reprise their roles. <\/p>\n It\u2019s unclear whether Zander Hawley<\/b>, who is Alexi\u2019s son, will be back as musician Rodge Bronson.
