Instagram<\/a> on Wednesday, August 27, with a health update from his hospital bed at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cAbout two months ago, I went and did a preventative scan on my body, head to toe, because that\u2019s what you\u2019re supposed to do,\u201d Shore told his followers in a video recording. \u201cAnd they found a small tumor inside my pancreas. So I\u2019ve been dealing with it for the last couple months.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nHe added, \u201cThey\u2019re gonna be taking it out. We\u2019re gonna get rid of it. It\u2019s like a devil that\u2019s in me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nThe clip cut to footage five days later, with Shore reporting that his surgery was \u201csuccessful.\u201d Doctors \u201cscooped [the tumor] out. It was benign. It\u2019s gone for good.\u201d He thanked his medical team and said, \u201cI\u2019m OK. Now it\u2019s healing time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nHe continued, \u201cMy advice to anyone watching this is to get a scan, \u2018cause you never know what the f***\u2019s inside your body. Because I didn\u2019t know. I just did a preventative scan because I was bored.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\nShore began crying and confided, \u201cIt\u2019s been tough. The aftermath of a surgery \u2014 of an abdominal surgery \u2014 is pretty f***ing hard.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nThe Encino Man <\/i>actor added more thoughts in his caption on the video post, telling his followers that the tumor \u201cmight have been there for 15 to 20 years. It wasn\u2019t an emergency, but my doctor felt removing it was the right thing to do.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cMentally, it really messed with me,\u201d Shore continued. \u201cKnowing there was a tumor inside me\u2026 Could it grow? Burst? Turn into something worse? You just don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nHe said he\u2019s \u201calways been on top of my health. Going to the gym, using saunas, massages, having my teeth checked, doing blood work, colonoscopies, chiropractor, etc., but I had never done a full-body scan. I had no symptoms. This was just me following my instincts. \u2026 Instinct played a huge role in this. If I hadn\u2019t followed mine and gotten that scan, I might have never found out about the tumor.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
