Jon Bon Jovi <\/strong>is turning a personal setback into a creative opportunity after going through a major surgery in 2022.<\/p>\n The Bon Jovi frontman, 63, revealed that his new record Forever (Legendary Edition) was born out of necessity following vocal cord surgery and a long rehabilitation process that began in 2022.<\/p>\n “This album is more than just a collection of collaborations, it is an album born out of necessity,” Bon Jovi said in a statement to E! That reality led him to shift his focus toward recording \u2014 and to enlist some friends to help bring the music to life. “I was singing well enough in the studio for the recording, but the vocal demands and rigors of touring were still out of reach for me,” he explained. “Without the ability to tour or promote an album we were all very proud of, I decided to call on some friends to help me in my time of need.”<\/p>\n The result is a collaborative 14-track project featuring iconic musicians like Avril Lavigne<\/strong>, Jelly Roll<\/strong>, Ryan Tedder<\/strong>, Bruce Springsteen<\/strong>, and Lainey Wilson<\/strong>. Two singles will be released on August 29 ahead of the album\u2019s full arrival in October.<\/p>\n “All are great singers, artists, and also just great people,” he added. “The result is an album with a new viewpoint and new spirit\u2014a collaboration album that proves we all get by in this world with a little help from our friends.” Bon Jovi also said he feels \u201ctremendous joy and gratitude\u201d to be able to release the collection and reflected on the importance of unity, especially after a challenging few years. “I can say with certainty that there is always something bigger than ME, and that\u2019s WE.\u201d<\/p>\n While it remains unclear when, and if, the iconic musician will tour again, we know music is still very much on his mind.
