Fans are sending prayers and well-wishes Pauly Shore\u2019s way after the beloved comedian who rose to fame in the 1990s shared an emotional video from his hospital bed on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s up guys,\u201d Shore said in the video. \u201cSo, here we are. What am I doing? Am I getting my tonsils out? Am I getting some breast implants? <\/p>\n
\u201cNo actually.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shore was able to share a little laugh with the jokes, but then he got into the situation.<\/p>\n
\u201cAbout two months ago, I went and did a preventative scan on my body head-to-toe,\u201d he said. \u201cBecause that\u2019s what you are supposed to do, and they found a small tumor inside my pancreas. So, I\u2019ve been dealing with it the past couple months.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are here at Cedar-Sinai, and they are going to be taking it out,\u201d he continued. \u201cWe\u2019re gonna get rid of it. It\u2019s like a Devil that\u2019s in me.\u201d<\/p>\n
The video then cut to five days post-surgery with Shore back at Cedars-Sinai.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey took the little Gremlin out of me,\u201d he said. \u201cWhew! Man. It\u2019s been about five days since the procedure. It was successful, thank you. The doctors here, the squad took care of the little gremlin as my brother Scott said, and I\u2019m OK. Now, it\u2019s healing time, and that\u2019s it. But, yeah, my advice to anyone watching this is to get a scan because you never know what the (expletive) is inside your body. Because I didn\u2019t know. I just did a preventative scan because I was bored, and I just wanted to do a checkup, and they found a little tumor inside my pancreas and they scooped it out.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shore then shared some great news.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s benign,\u201d he said. \u201cI guess benign means it\u2019s not cancerous. It\u2019s gone for good, which is a great word obviously. That\u2019s everybody\u2019s biggest fear.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019d like to thank God, but I\u2019d also like to thank my instincts,\u201d he added. \u201cInstincts in life is very important guys. You always gotta go with your instincts. My instincts was just to get a scan and see what was going on inside my body, and they found this little guy, and we got rid of him.\u201d<\/p>\n
That\u2019s when Shore dropped his head and began to cry. He took his sunglasses off, covered his mouth, and gathered himself before finally speaking again.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been tough,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s been tough. The aftermath of surgery, of an abdomen surgery, it\u2019s pretty (expletive) hard.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been a lot,\u201d he added. \u201cIt\u2019s been a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shore also wrote a long caption alongside the video in which he provided more details and again encouraged everyone to consider a preventative scan. <\/p>\n
His fans and friends were quick to respond with relief that he was fine, and with loving messages. Perhaps most important, some said he inspired them to go and get checked. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
