Spoon<\/a> are back with two surprise singles called \u2018Chateau Blues\u2019 and \u2018Guess I\u2019m Fallin In Love\u2019. Check them out below.<\/p>\n

The two new songs were both recorded over the summer by the band, who took to the studio for their first new recordings since their Grammy-nominated album \u2018Lucifer On The Sofa<\/a>\u2019. That was indie veterans\u2019 10th studio album, and their self-proclaimed \u201cpurest rock\u2019n\u2019roll record to date\u201d. It arrived in 2022, on the heels of 2017\u2019s \u2018Hot Thoughts<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

Now, the two latest songs see them harness the raw rock sound again. The first new song is the gritty, blues-inspired \u2018Chateau Blues\u2019, which comes riff with traditional rock riffs and powerful vocals from singer John Britt Daniel.<\/p>\n

The second is the more elaborate and intriguing \u2018Guess I\u2019m Fallin In Love\u2019, which comes with the band\u2019s signature blend of emotive vocals and stripped-back, intentional melodies. \u201cEvery morning\u2019s the same old thing\/ Guess I\u2019m falling in love\/ Every morning, you\u2019re there again\/ Looks like I\u2019m falling in love<\/em>,\u201d the frontman croons in the opening verse.<\/p>\n
