George Clooney<\/a>, who portrays the eponymous fictional movie star in Noah Baumbach<\/a>\u2019s dramedy \u201cJay Kelly<\/a>,\u201d didn\u2019t attend the movie\u2019s official press conference at the Venice Film Festival. The actor, who arrived earlier this week in Italy, has reportedly scaled back his commitments because he\u2019s feeling under the weather.<\/p>\n

\u201cGeorge has been diagnosed with a sinus infection and is under doctors orders to cut back all activities today,\u201d Clooney<\/a>\u2019s reps told Variety.<\/p>\n

Instead, Baumbach and Clooney\u2019s co-stars Adam Sandler<\/a>, Laura Dern<\/a>, Billy Crudup<\/a> and Emily Mortimer<\/a> will speak on behalf of the film at the Thursday afternoon event.
